LIES. No emissions. Did the steel smelt itself? How about the servicing of the equipment? How about the shipping of the equipment? How about it’s replacement and maintenance> Who’s going to pay to remove these rusting monstrosities when they break in a decade? Also note how these are being imported. UGLY monstrosities. Give me a single nuclear plant any day.

Wind is currently the fastest growing energy source worldwide. In 2005, wind accounted for 1% of the total electricity production in the world. The United States was third in utilization of wind energy. According to the Department of Energy, offshore wind farms could provide enough energy to power the entire nation. Transformer company, Pacific Crest Transformers specializes in liquid-filled distribution transformers for the wind energy sector.

Friends and subscribers welcome. My home wind turbines just won a Green Design Contest. Look at the videos, neighborhood friendly windpower.

I can understand when people complain about a painting being ugly, but… Windmills.. They were never meant to be works of art. That’s not their purpose!

Some people.. Jeez!

5

everybody know the government is building these to slow the earth from rotating so fast so they can make more money in a day, when you’re not watching they turn these fans on that blow about 120 mph wind

This is Iron work man I’ve built these things last summer in Canada Ontario Port Alma just outside of Tilbury. we built 49 of them. and I have worked with the Siemens people before most of them I knew were Danish, the great Danes we called them good people, and awesome to work with.

The world should seriously reduce energy DEMAND, and not just by means of a global recession, as is happening now.

Turbines aren’t green, they are white and mostly evil looking. Well offshore is the only place people will tolerate them in great numbers. Even that creates eyesores.

Above all else, people’s blind devotion to endless consumption growth must end. Birth control is a lot cheaper than massive, obnoxious structures, posing as a “green” alternative to standard energy gluttony.

These are industrial power plants with maintenance roads. Since when are natural views so trivial?

Turbines make noise and cause sun-strobing effects and alien lights at night. The “no emissions” aspect does not negate the visual blight! A regular power plant takes up far less room per energy density.

People who live near wind turbines (“farm” is a misnomer) aren’t generally thrilled. To say that they aren’t eyesores is an odd sort of denial, especially with plans for many thousands more.

A wind farm is a hell of a lot more attractive than an oil field or a coal mine.

those things look so awesome!!!…How can people say they look like shit…It’s an amazing scene

Wind farms are one of the most beautiful things on the horizon

Wind Turbines are great. I think the next step should be find synergy between conventional sources of energy and clean energy to maintain a reliable power supply while reducing environmental impact.

go wind farms!!!
