Will Asteroid Hit Earth? Russian Scientists Get Ready to Avert Collision

Scientists step-up to save the world. Russia’s Space Agency is preparing to hold a closed meeting on an approaching Asteroid.But there’s no need for immediate concern an encounter with Asteroid Apophis is predicted for April 2036. According to the head of the Russian Agency there could be a way to avoid a collision without having to destroy the asteroid. It was discovered in 2004 and the probability of an impact has changed several times since then. Last year the California-based Planetary Society awarded a 50 thousand dollars prize for a space probe that would allow precise tracking of the asteroid.

thats weird, NASA’S website says there is no asteroid or any sort of large space rock due to hit Earth, who do we beleive hard question.. suppose its the guys who said the end of the world was 2000, or the people who said the end of the world is 2012, come on guys give it a break your boring me now

After Sentry and NEODyS announced the possible impact, additional observations decreased the uncertainty in Apophis’ trajectory. As they did, the probability of an impact event temporarily climbed, peaking at 2.7%
