A passenger jet has landed off the tarmac at Palermo airport, and three aboard had slight injuries. The report said a Wind Jet Airbus 300 landed at Falcone e Borsellino Airport after a flight from Rome with 143 passengers aboard during heavy rain Friday night. It said the aircraft's emergency exit chutes were activated and quoted airport officials as saying three people sustained scrapes on the head or face. It was not immediately clear if the people were injured exiting the aircraft or during the landing.
