Love my Mora.

@bushcraftourway Have you ever looked at hobbexp’s channel? He is amazing and all he uses is moras. I’d like to see you try and tell him that moras are no good. There is no perfect bushcraft knife anyway. I suppose all our ancestors died when they didn’t have knives.

Great Knife!
I own an older version and I can tell u, it´s amazing!

Eh, i really would not carry JUST a small knife in the woods. At least you should have a BIG knife or an axe so that you can process a whole standing deadwood tree. I dont want to die of hypothermia because i was unable to get to dry wood on the inside of a dead tree because my knife didnt have enough weight on it to chop.

I’d like to know if she’s wearing survival panties?

That looks like the Mora 911. Am I wrong?

Ah the ptifalls of posting “survival knife” vids! I’ts funny, if you got twenty different comments on the subject, you probably got twenty different suggestions on why “brand X” knife is better than the one you chose! Bottom line, get out there and use it sista!! Any flaws will present themselves under hard outdoor use and if need be, help you choose a more suitable blade next time! Win win situation. Oh yeah, cool vid btw!! Thanks!

@rodster6 i was talking about an extreme situation when you are forced to fight with a knife. for a camp i take an axe and a cold steel finn bear…

me to
April 29th, 2010 at 8:52 pm
you kidding
a mora as the ‘perfect’ survival and bushcraft knife XD
u need a full tang and a nicer handle… mora handles and a formaldahide…. if you fiddle with fires with them its gonna melt like chocolate
for a survival knife u rlly should be looking at.. what… a rat 7? or a recon scout
and the perfect bushcraft knife should be english, irish, swedish or norwegian traditional style with stick tang and leather sheeth….

if you use the knife the way its made to be used breaking it will never be a problem with the moras the plastic handle likes to break.. Me I have a knife thats not full tang and its over 100 years old and was heavy used by my great grandfather and grandfather in both ww1 and ww2… and it was his bush knife.. was abused and used and still standing its more about how the make it then anything else

gotta have a full tang blade man, otherwise its more a danger to you than to a piece of wood.
April 29th, 2010 at 10:15 pm
or a falkkniven or RAT knife
April 29th, 2010 at 10:50 pm
looks like a kitchen knife….
you should trust your life on a knife, so that thing you can’t even split some wood….it’ll brake very fast I suppose.
I’m sticking with my fallkniven, these knifes are the best.

Mora knives are the best value for money.
You can spend 10 times more on a fancy knife but I guarantee it won’t be 10 times better.

@ppspsd ok Rambo, i won’t argue with you, just go into bush and survive with your “knife”
April 30th, 2010 at 12:51 am
@tekknorat ya think lol
April 30th, 2010 at 1:47 am
@flex221 Im not sure many campers have knife fights with wolves or hunt them for food.

Everyones opinion varies when it comes to the “ultimate” survival knife. I neer have just ONE magical knife that does it all! I don’t carry an arsenal, either. I use a 12′ survival knife on my belt, a small folder in my pocket, my WWII marine bolo machete’ on my pack and a MORA carbon steel survival knife tucked away in my pack. @tekknorat IF you are referring to the movie Rambo knives they are def. for looks but most people refer to ANY large knife as a “Rambo” knife….

don’t want to be a critic but a full flat grind is better for procesing wood than a edge grind. I chopped and slashed with both and i can say for shure that the flat grind is far superior . respec for what you’re doing but I still think that the mora knife just socks at wilderness survival.
April 30th, 2010 at 3:49 am
Thank you for the advice about this knife. That’s really cool. A good value for not a lot of money.
April 30th, 2010 at 4:36 am
rather than buying a mora like that and a machete buy a ka bar heavy bowie and you get the best of both a knife and a machete.
P.S no offense PeakSurvival but i’m not sure what you mean by killing mamals…you have little chanses with that knife against a wolf
