Super Volcano
By
A million times more powerful than Hiroshima, a super volcano may exist beneath Yellowstone. If it erupts, would we survive?

@TwoPlusTwoIsGay Its first eruption was 1.9 million years ago, its next eruption was 1.3 million years ago, then again 640,000 years ago so not 7000 times only 3 i believe. And now its ready to blow again supposedly

@TwoPlusTwoIsGay it wasnt neccessary a super volcano for 5 billion years, the tektonic plates move….

wouldnt the first hole that was drilled into the ground initiated the pressure release and everything would just explode? o.o what happens if u poke a balloon with a needle?

@TwoPlusTwoIsGay it wasnt neccessary a super volcano for 700,000 years, the tektonic plates move….

@cwrodgers12 Could they theoretically change the wind direction using HAARP to send the ash to Canada?
March 16th, 2011 at 5:16 pm
I don’t understand how they know it erupts approximately every 700,000 years. Earth has been around for approximately 5 Billion years, so that means this thing has erupted 7000 times? I don’t buy that. It just doesn’t make sense to me how this logic fits within the geologic time scales.

@P2Fire
Fortunately for you, they show the ash cloud heading east and south across the US. Plus, California has a lot of experience with earthquakes, so it would be most able to take one that might be caused by a super eruption.

A supervolcano eruption… alternate theory for extinction of the dinosaurs?
March 16th, 2011 at 9:29 pm

March 16th, 2011 at 10:09 pm
what’s up with all this retarded editing? do they have to show people running around in 4x and 8x speed?
March 16th, 2011 at 10:46 pm
i can tell you one sign. pay attention to the bison and the wolves in yellowstone. animals can sense natural disasters and possibly a few months to year before the eruption, the animals nearest yellowstone will be hauling ass to the east cost.
