Some news story – they neglected to state the cost of the solar system in the story.

@madzane94 Solar panels generate quite some power during cloudy days too..
And also during winder if they are not covered in snow..

I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home….check out the videos about it on my channel….

only thing i would be worried about is some kind of storm damaging the panels.

if anyone wants solar energy for their home in AZ message me

Well see. The thing is, power companies will not “owe you.” But they credit you for charging their lines. You essentially become a capacitor or an energy store so to speak. And they only need to trickle charge or send you power when you want it. In essence, you are charging yourself and others relieving a huge electrical load from the grid section you’re in. The power company will credit your account and this credit is accumulative which means you will only have to pay for connection.

thats just one of the reasons mexico remains a 3rd world nation

Nice to get paid for the energy your solar power system produces! Unfortunately in Mexico (where I live) it is illegal (against the constitution in fact) to produce power for sale unless you are the nationalized power company. That’s one little thing that might be good to change.

I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews (dot) net It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position.
There is software im using to send atleast 30,000 text message a day advertising my online business…it is amazing. I think they have free demos to try as well.
autotextsender (dot) com and autotextmailer (dot) com
THIS WORKS! Its amazing.. THANK YOU SO MUCH DUDE!!!!!!

look pretty cool for me… I will study more on this

Yes, you can have multiple energy sources such as your electrical company, solar power, generators, etc. In fact, producing your own power will send power back to the grid and your meter will run backwards causing your electrical company to owe you money instead of billing you.

I’m not sure of that but there are some villages in my country (Senegal-West Africa)that are entirely using solar energy. German people brought it there and it really work

It wasn’t DIY, and there was very little info.

wrong, the hotter the environment, the worse they function and less energy they gain. Washington is the best place for solar energy

Miss-Titled
Its not home made, but still thanks for posting. Very interesting

Better for sunny Africa
September 11th, 2010 at 12:15 pm
Well, yes the solar system will still function, but the power produced may or may not be sufficient to run everything you’d like to. However, you CAN have multiple energy sources, such as your electrical company. Here’s something cool: Get solar power, and your meter can run BACKWARDS! That means the power company gets to pay YOU for getting your own energy and sending some of it back into the power grid. So, one days where you have to use the electric co’s power…you’ve still saved a lot of $.
