Solar Flares Tonight Causing Satellite and Power Grid Dysfunction

A spectacular solar flare is predicted for tonight, 2/18/2011, and expected to snarl GPS and power grids. Airplanes will lose a limited amount of radio controls and minor blackouts are also predicted by the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service states the solar flares tonight, “Are calm before the storm.” Dr. Richard Fisher, Director of NASA Heliophysic Division, states that solar flares change the magnetic field on Earth. Car navigation, computers, air traffic contrtol and everything elecronic will be affected with major solar flares to come. Radiation does enter the Earth’s atmosphere everytime there is a solar flare.

@ItsMsMargie On 2/12 there was a meteor seen as the size of a car that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean they said. This was really wild. There is a link in one of these comments.

@GhostDog65 I have so many different looks when it comes to hair lol! No offense taken. Spiral curls, natural wavy hair(here – and it was straight until childbirth), straightener. However, this time I only am getting the ends trimmed.

@GhostDog65 We get solar flares but NASA predicts they will get worse. We really can have blackouts for awhile.

@mia0899cs Also, I agree with you re: “not flying during solar flares” because it’s just as dangerous as flying through volcanic ash. I just saw a headline re: “Delta engine prob” but I haven’t read the story yet. Yes, u r correct, better to do flying b4 or after the major flare events bcuz flight instruments/electronics could b effected. I still feel that the psychics who are saying this Cycle 24 will be catastrophic “Doomsday” are wrong. I also know that you haven’t stated anything like that.

@mia0899cs Yes I hear you, a few physicists believe that we may get a “Carrington Event” type of solar flare during this Sun Cycle 24 but even that won’t be devastating. During the 1859 Carrington Event, a few telegraph poles caught fire but it wasn’t worse case scenario. Most physicists I’ve communicated with stated that they do not believe that there is a connection between solar flares and volcanic eruptions BUT many big volcanoes are cycling right now & yes, NYC is long overdue quake wise.

@dlg1349 I did read from Dr. Fisher from NASA that 2013 could be the year that solar flares would have a major impact. He didn’t say we would have to stay in bunkers. I’m not God but I do see Earth’s changes continuing this year and with greater intensity. We are also overdue for an earthquake in NYC. A seismotologist
said this on the news on Friday and the pattern is about every hundred years and the last one was around in 1866.

Re: 2/18/11 Solar flare- no aurora borealis in NY. News said that our hemisphere was not facing the Sun for this one, so only China had some radio probs. This is Sun Cycle 24 and NASA has predicted it will be milder than the last cycle. I don’t “see” any End of World scenario with this cycle, I ony “see” electrical/radio probs. I think what some psychics are “seeing” as “severe” is a future cycle. Some volcanoes are cycling now-erupt every 200-900 yrs but the physicists it’s not related to C-24.
