How does the sun affect our environment? What about Pole-Shifts? And where is our Earth Magnetic Shierld? We begin our journey on a survey of Mercury and prospect the idea of exploring Pluto. But Michio Kaku puts the picture together for us, in a BBC special… See more at simple.wikipedia.org .

The best part is when the illiterate interviewer says ” Oh look in the picture there they look so tiny how can they wipe out our electronic devices”. Fucking moron’s in todays society thats why humanity may not make it to a more advanced civilization.

I have many theory’s about things. I keep an open mind. I thought of 1 now when he was talking about the loss of our magnetic shield or field. Maybe our planet has been loosing mass. Correct me if need be cause I am no positive, does mass strengthen our shield? Gold is expensive right now, lotta mold-able mass. Imagine the mass of a pyramid full of gold, would that protect you from solar flares? I know it would slow time. Maybe the gods are comming and we have been shipping the gold off?

@neweraorder > This is exactly the debate I’m hoping to inspire … I’m a Molecular Biologist, but wonder if we are looking in the right places for life outside our Biosphere…

For example there are worms that live in high temperatures in the Earths’ core.
If we cannot exist in some conditions, it doesn’t mean that the life doesn’t exist there.
Of course there it’s not a conscious life form that we would expect it in our understanding, but the existence is not impossible there

@imfrickenawesomeable > Yeah, I understand what you mean… I also found the statement that Mercury has Ice very confusing since at the same time the planets surface is supposed to be searingly hot … Its something I still don’t understand… I can only assume that when he’s talking about ice he doesn’t mean water, but some other element. Maybe someone will be able to clarify this point…
