The magnitude of Earth magnetic field is about 0.5 gauss. The magnetic fields on Quadmagfilter vary as to give maximum magnetic field gradient. Peak magnetic field on the surface of the Quamagfilter can go up to more than 5000 gauss, which is 10000 times more than the Earth magnetic field. Before installing the Quadmagfilter on the oil filter, the magnitude of magnetic fields around the oil filter is about between 3 gauss and 1 gauss. After attaching the Quadmagfilter, there is no difference around the oil filter and the top of the oil filter, which means the magnetic field of the Quadmagfilter is focused and confined to the area where the Quadmagfilter is attached. Thus, Quadmagfilter can filter out dangerous ferrous wear particles and the magnetic field is not affecting other parts of the oil filter.
