Pole Shift 2010: Chilean Quake Shifted Earth’s Axis, NASA Scientist Says

Yikes! Just how big was the magnitude 8.8 earthquake in Chile? One scientist says the shaking may have affected the entire planet by shifting Earth on its axis. This possibly may have shortened the length of each day on Earth by about 1.26 microseconds. Using a complex model JPL research scientist Richard Gross computed how Earth’s rotation should have changed as a result of the Feb. 27, 2010 quake. If his figures are correct, the quake should have moved Earth’s figure axis (the axis about which Earth’s mass is balanced) by 2.7 milliarcseconds (about 8 centimeters, or 3 inches). Earth’s figure axis is not the same as its north-south axis; they are offset by about 10 meters (about 33 feet). By comparison, Gross said the same model estimated the 2004 magnitude 9.1 Sumatran earthquake should have shortened the length of day by 6.8 microseconds and shifted Earth’s axis by 2.32 milliarcseconds (about 7 centimeters, or 2.76 inches). Gross said that even though the Chilean earthquake is much smaller than the Sumatran quake, it is predicted to have changed the position of the figure axis by a bit more for two reasons. First, unlike the 2004 Sumatran earthquake, which was located near the equator, the 2010 Chilean earthquake was located in Earth’s mid-latitudes, which makes it more effective in shifting Earth’s figure axis. These millisecond calculations aren’t even close to what’s really going on. Two or three airports had to change they’re run ways because the compass doesn’t align exactly to the longitude latitude coordinates anymore, this is alot more than a few centimeters or inches it’s at least miles and not only that it’s going to melt the ice caps a few more miles in each direction too causing floods and tidal waves. I’m scared to even guess how the moon plays into all these shifts.

it was explained by a great Hindu monk in 16th century that pole shift will happen by 2016. He also explained that more than 80 percent of the people on the planet are going to die by the end of 2013. This prophecy was told by a unknown monk to modern world. Definitely there would be much more prophecies all over the world, which would not known by modern people.

I beleive that the magma that flows within the earth is what generates or major magnetic fiild and the earths poles! So the magma flow would have to be redirected change the field!

@spiritman2012 They just changed 40% accord to Tampa Florida who had to close down the airport to change runway call numbers. Thus by 2012 your looking at us America having the equator running in the northern region of America. As magnetic north moved toward Russia already.

Folks i believe the Pole Shift has taken a quantum jump!! Look at the sun tomorrow morning, let’s say while you’re driving to work. Now, think about where the sun has been during this same drive year after year… You will CLEARLY see that it has moved! oops, the sun hasn’t moved, rather the earth has already shifted! For example, when the sun used to be @ 12:00 o’clock position, it’s now at the 2:00 o’clock position. Please ck it out for yourself and reply.

@Arche2011 Hey Kara! Thank you for providing this information from the Edgar Cayce readings. Based on the available data of the historic magnetic pole movement and acceleration, I agree that if a pole shift does occur, the new North Pole would likely be somewhere in Russia.

@MultiBOOM101 In my understanding, a pole shift would be considered a catastrophic event, but not an Apocalypse. Such events have also happened in our past when there was life on the planet in many forms, including human. This means that life continues after such events, but evidence and ancient records indicate such events can cause extreme reductions in population.
