Nasa Talks About Solar Storm in 2010-2011

On August 1st around 0855 UT, Earth orbiting satellites detected a C3-class solar flare. The origin of the blast was sunspot 1092. At about the same time, an enormous magnetic filament stretching across the sun’s northern hemisphere erupted. Video from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. People are so addicted to technology that its sad. Man has gone far from her nature. So if you cant survive without technology you should get your priorities straight. That simple. When greed, money and ego rules the world this kind of thing will collapse the lives of those that are separated from themselves. Those that fill their insides with made up needs and consuming consuming. Serious threat? Yeah to those that are nothing but extensions of the technology they use.

Yes, I think someone else would think so – I guess, some other moron or lamebrain, like you – someone, who all he can get from popular science video is that the lector “sounds like a fag”. (Personally, I’d prefer him to sound like a whole bunch of fags than having to read comments like yours… At lest one can gain some knowledge from the video, no matter what it “sounds like”, while your comment is as educated as it is polite and usefull.)

@angelmassb Yep. Figured. I mean it only takes a single wiki page to disprove the mayan prediction, because nothing bad happens. It is simply the Mayan New Year, I believe its going to be like ba’aak tun 13 or 14 or some shit. Also, Nostradamus has predictions that counter the belief about 2012. He said that after the fall of the 3rd Anti-Christ (Mabus) there would be peace for 1000 years. Still no 3rd antichrist, so were good.

@angelmassb No, solar flares can’t penetrate the atmosphere. They simply start messin’ around with our geomagnetic field, causing an aurora of lights and maybe cause a power outage in some areas. They aren’t heated flares, as their temperature drops dramatically as it travels through space being surrounded by 2.725K which is -270.425 or -454.765 F. Absolute Zero, the state where it can’t be any colder,is at 459.67F. Solar flares don’t cause heat damage,just geomagnetic disruption temporarily.
