Is There Really a Planet-X (Nibiru, Eris) Coming Back to Our Solar System?
ByThe sumerians have said such, the bible says such (wormwood) the return of god, the rise of anti-christ) It supposedly happened in the past. The mayans have supposedly met the inhabitants of planet-x. Why does the mayan calendar end dec.21st 2012? Why does the chinese I-ching foretell the same? Why is TV going digital? is it so save analog space for state of emergency? in the u.s.? the whole world?
The rationing of oil?

No. Eris is clearly in the Kuiper Belt and its orbit doesn’t even pass the orbit of Neptune. Even if such a planet with an erratic orbit did exist, we’d be able to see it by now if it was big enough to do any damage to us since it is only 4 years away.

Nibiru does not exist!
Eris is known and we know its orbital parameters – it is already in the solar system and always has been – and it will not come near Earth.

I heard about it too. Doomsday 2012. It will probally wont happen. but if it did it dosent necercerily meen its the end of the world. although there would be mass earthquakes, tsunami’s, hurricanes and all kind of weather changes.

People twist ancient myths and legends to match some date that got into their head. Same with the Nostradamus fans. This sort of thing has come up many times before. They have been wrong every single time.
The big-time twister today is Zechariah Sitchin. He’s a quack. He has misinterpreted ancient glyphs and made a few bucks off of it. Other *real* archaeologists have, (too politely, I think), pointed out grievous errors in his translations and debunked his claims.
There is no Planet X or Nibiru. There might be some other small Kuiper Belt planetesimals like Eris or Pluto, but nothing fitting the description of these two fabled planets has ever been found. They all stay over 30 AU out, anyway. And if Planet X or Nibiru were big, as claimed, we would have known about it years ago, even if it was on a several thousand year orbital path. The Nibiru of ancient folklore has been identified as the planet Jupiter. Planet X just doesn’t exist.
Tess, you should say that it is not easy for the *poorly informed* to dismiss Icke. He’s another quack who hit it big among the ever gullible patronage of modern myth, superstition, and pseudoscience.
Oops! There’s the predictable thumb which I always get on questions like this.

you REALLY should read ‘the biggest secret’ by david icke. i don’t know if you are familiar with him but its not easy to dismiss his claims.he has been called a nutter and a madman for years by the media but he now does talks where over 30,000 people have attended!! he has some FANTASTIC ideas about the planet nibiru…and other stuff!just get this book, read it and e-mail me back cos i’d be interested in what other people think. go on youtube and type in his name and check this guy out. just a few months ago i was what you’d consider a ‘racist’ but after reading that book i’d realised the error of my ways and just how stupid i’ve been. really! its worth a look!

Let me ask you a question: why would you think that primitive people with primitive technology with a life expectancy of 25 years have any clue about things that have nothing to do with basic survival; that is, putting food in their mouths and avoiding getting eaten by animals or being killed by their fellows? They had no clue about natural laws from which all things derive: gravity, orbital mechanics, Pi, natural selection, the mass of a proton.
You would do good to contemplate the notion that if something cannot be proven or tested by a repeatable experiment, by several independent, thoughtful people, the likelihood of it being real or true is very low.
Digital TV transmissions increase the quality of the sound and picture, there’s nothing metaphysical or conspiratorial about it.

here’s a clue.
if two people are telling you different things and one of them is making money off you, while the other one is just telling you to “WAKE UP, YOU HALF-WIT!” its likely, that the second guy is right.

ASK yourself: Why is nibiru not in the encyclopedia. Why is it not to be found in the astronomical section of an almanac. Why will an exhaustive database search of scientific journals find no mention of such a planet.
Is it a plot? A planet being kept secret by the ESTABLISHMENT. By the MAN?
Why is it that only middle school students happen to know about this secret planet? Do middle schools have secret observatories that monitor ceaselessly monitor the solar system for intruding planets the ESTABLISHMENT doesn’t want you to know about? WELL DONE BRAVE MIDDLE SCHOOL ASTRONOMERS. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING US SAFE.
Pardon me while I hurl.

Only a fool would attempt to argue this point regarding if there is or isn’t, it’s just like the boring argument of the religious and the atheist, both believe in something that can not be proven as fact – Beliefs!
When the time passes and we see the results , then we will know, and no harm can come from basic preparation for the worst, unless living is not that important to you.

You’re confusing a whole bunch of unrelated things and using unreliable sources.
“Planet X” was a hypothetical planet proposed in the 19th century to explain discrepancies in the orbits of the known planets; it turned out that these discrepancies were due to the effects of Einstein’s theory of relativity, unknown at the time. “Nibiru” is a word used in Sumerian writing to refer to the planet Jupiter Jupiter. “Eris” is a real dwarf planet discovered a few years ago in an orbit beyond that of Pluto, now also considered to be a dwarf planet.
The Sumerians, the Bible, the Mayans, and the I Ching are all interesting sources of historical and cultural information, but have absolutely no value as sources of scientific information. Digital TV is simply irrelevant.

nobody really knows some people get it from how the moon and asteroid belt was created i think its real cause if it was not there would not be any controversy . we are just sitting ducks
