Gaia Wind 10 Year Old – Small Wind Turbine

By

This is my 10 year old 11kW wind turbine. The electricity from my Gaia-Wind turbine (typically 22000 kW per year) Generating electricity with wind turbines significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Turbine on a 18m mast

I do not know what the average windspeed is.
my lokasion is: N 56 ° 13,249, E 009 ° 29,542
Other 11kW Gaia doing 40000kWh years

where is this located and what is the average windspeed?

have one ordered myself but id like to hope it will produce more that 22000kw annually!

3

i see in the first few frames that theres some trees or shrub nearby, what height are these and how much impact do they make on the performance?

4

22000 kWh/year at what wind speed average?

It has a kickstart that makes an automatic start if it hasn´t startet at wind speed >3,5 m/s in 10 minutes. Made by sending power to the generator.
Normally it starts by 3,0m/s, but it depence on how cold the oil (ISO320) in the transmission is

By wind speed at 3.5m/s it powers out 3kW
The generator is an asynkron 11kW 3x400Volt. (900 rpm.)
The Transmission has is a 18:1.

6

what kind of wind speed dose it take to start up the 2 blade setup

7

Good video showing some of the mechanics of it!, Looks like a smooth good Italian design!, twin bladers have so many advantages, they are a very common sight in Netherlands i understand!.

ej hvor sjovt, hvor står den henne?? jeg har arbejdet hos en ældre montør der har sådan en til at ligge, ellers har jeg kun set et par stykker rundt om i danmark.. sjov gammel model.. :-)

Recently a 10 years old Gaia-Wind turbine was featured on YouTube.

Although several other videos have appeared on the YouTube website, this is the first time one of the earlier Gaia-Wind turbines has been shown. The turbine is clearly running smoothly and the customer sounds very content.
