Anything that can be done can be done safely, with the proper precautions. To say that there is always a risk is an obvious inclusion with any power source; even solar. The circuits could break down and cause an electrical fire.

With nuclear you simply don’t know. That means every time someone supports it as safe, it’s just propoganda for nuclear power. Nuclear power is very, very dangerous indeed. Christo930, you point out the lack of statistics for death in U.S., which, if correct, can’t be disagreed with. But people all over the world living near nuclear stations have been getting sick & born with deformity for years. With nuclear, you don’t know. Power whose legacy can sicken & kill over 1/2 a million years later.

Nuclear is very safe, far more safe than coal. Not one person in the history of American Nuclear energy has been killed because of it. Miners die every single year.

Very true, but if people like Green Power Sceince weren’t doing just this, there would be no focus at all. It means interest is created & chances of businessmen doing something is higher. It’s just like that. We live in a monetary system that supports debt and pollution from fossil fuels or threatening, unsafe energy such as nuclear. That’s what the businessmen support.
