FINAL DIESEL REVIEW~ EMP ~SOLAR FLARES ~CLIMATE CHANGE ~OIL PRICES~JEFF the CANUCK
By
Prepare for higher crude oil prices with diesel vehicles. The Mercedes has a “timing chain”, they do wear as well. Pre-97 VW vehicles apply to this video. 1997 and up have a computer controled injection system, same with the Ford’s, around 1996? Do your own research. Bottom line, any diesel vehicle is better than a gas vehicle.

@MrXstacey -Any diesel vehicle will be superior to a gas vehicle. The TDI and Ford Powerstroke 7.3′s etc, do have electronic components that will fail in an EMP event. However, you can store a spare PCM for these vehicles, protected properly. Diesel generators are another topic that I never got into yet. There are Youtube videos about these types of generators that run on used motor oil, as well. ~Thanks for the question.

Being the owner of a VW TDI Y2K bug and a big fan of BUG, I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Is my vehicle EMP proof as well, to your knowledge? or are the newer ones screwed due to greater electronic dependence? I didn’t buy my vehicle for EMP related reasons but it’s a nice perk among many in owning a diesel vehicle. I generally run B20 from Tallow seed, not food, so long as I don’t have to go too far out of my way to get it. Great vid thanks.

Back in 1991 , We had a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300 Diesel , Seemed like a good car at the time , just a little loud when the windows were down

In a SHTF situation, a lot of people with diesel vehicles might pass 100 abandoned cars or trucks that they could drain ATF and engine oil out of, then run out of fuel and start walking until they die.
That’s the same kind of person who will die from drinking contaminated water when they have a gallon jug of Clorox sitting 20 feet away in their laundry room. As soon as anything goes really wrong we’re going to have a heck of a population die-off and it’s not going to be pretty.

Thanks Jeff. Great video as usual. I’m on board with the diesel vehicle thing. I with with a dodge pickup since I spent 6 years at Cummins fixing engines just like that one. That engine is bullet proof and doesn’t have a timing belt, it has gears! That puppy isn’t likely to jump out of time.
I wanted something I could load up a lot of cargo and get to my bug out location with. I’m prestocking it with a lot of boring shelf stable food but I’ll still need to carry a lot.

Im glan you are addressing the EMP factor. Thats why you want to go with mechanical injection pumps.

@wildnutria -Yes. Lots of info on the net.

@beast12101 -22mpg, but it’s for other purposes. Bio-diesel can be made for 70-80 cents a gallon for it. The Westy does 28-32mpg, the rabbit 42-50, but it burns pure used veggie oil. The only cost is the collection, plus you could make filters for the oil.

Would the corn oil work on a 2000 f-150 ford?? Great vid!!

I’ve been thinking about converting my Jeep to a diesel for awhile now. I think I might just have to break down and do it. Gas prices are starting to climb here in Oklahoma. Great vid, thanks for the info.
