I am not a named brand guy if the product works it works so if it is Coleman and works I am all over it I pick the best tool for the job

Good idea, the reason I use a screw is if I put it in a tree i center the screw on a branch and wrap the wire around both the screw and branch, it holds it flatter to the branch that way

to anchor the rat trap you can also drill a hole on the wood near one of the corners.
