@shadapple I’m an atheist… and I certainly don’t HATE you… I think you are afraid to look at the world around you. The natural world doesn’t forgive arrogance or ignorance… its a process, not a deity.

The only philosophy you possess is a very old book which you claim is the ‘truth’ but does not match the definition or meaning of ‘truth’… if it did it would have some ‘facts’ or testable evidence to back itself up. But when actually tested it falls to dust…which you then try to excuse.

In many US states atheists are not allowed in court as witnesses, not allowed to be jurors, or hold public office, or be employed by the state. A convicted murderer can be a witness in a trial…but I cannot even though I have never had so much as a parking ticket in my entire life!

@MumblingMickey Yes. I am hated by atheists. Most atheists and other religions hate Christians. Come on dude, you don’t see the hate from atheists towards Christians? And you don’t see Christian missionaries killed in other countries everday by other religions, mainly muslims? It’s in the news all the time. In the 2000 yrs. since Jesus died (no Christian died for him before he said it), an estimated 50 million Christians have been martyred just for preaching the Gospel and believeing in him.

REf. U.M.E. in philosophy a UME is a use mention error… its when the entire sentence read as either literally…or metaphorically gives out no information whatsoever… its true and false simultaneously. The sentence may as well not exist for all the information it gives…

So ‘love is just word’ is both a metaphorical statement and a literal one… both are correct, and incorrect…and leave you with no new information. For further examples red the bible!

I started where I always start … I started with the dictionary… and using the dictionary to define truth…well that sort of give as different slant on things doesn’t it?… given that the dictionary tells me ‘truth’ requires facts and conformity and evidence etc…
