December 21, 2012 is the year the Maya had predicted the end of the great cycle. Earth will also pass through the galactic plane(dark rift)on the winter solstice of 2012.

@Jackgatman just to add on to your comment there, to all the people that say its bullshit and its ridiculous, etc… you know what i say, better safe than sorry for me. i know it may seem like im saying that i think its going to happen because it may not, but then it might, just be safe rather than sorry and do some research rather than just completly forgeting about it. if you can be bothered to search you tube for a video explaining it for you, then you can also search yourself, just saying.

What everyone needs is an open mind. Of course know one actually knows EXACTLY what will happen and to think that you do is ignorant and arrogant. It is fear that narrows the mind. The fear to accept new information that may threat your current way of thinking. Especially if your values are shallow fragile materialism. The first action lots of people take when they fear such information is to ridicule it and label it “ridiculous” to make their way of thinking more palatable.

Umm…. it’s not due at all. Planet X does NOT have the elliptical orbit people claim it does. It’s WAY past Pluto & orbits the Sun just like all the other planets.

slightly disappoints me how everybody out there waste there minds on belief based decision making. Seem astronomy has put crossing the galactic plane at every 35 million years or so, having crossed around 3 million years ago , next time will be in over 30 million years. On 12 21 2012 we will have our annual sun/galactic plane eclipse, just like every other year, if I am to believe the astronomy establishment.; & again people will realize the true value of belief. Solar flares are a concern !

That is not a fair comment. One of the theories, the one you are refering to, actually states that it is the increased frequency and intensity of these natural disasters that are the ‘signs’. I have no doubt pole shift has occured before but probably not because of an intruder in our solar system.

Planet X has nothing to do with 2012, 25,800 years cycle. Nibiru comes around every 3600 years and what we are facing is the galactic equator of the milky way galaxy which is going to line up with our solar system and our sun on that date. People stop this planet X stuff, it is not due for another 1440 years.

This is why there will always be truth seekers. We are the same as any religion, government, or individuals looking for, and seeking the unkown. The only way to to prove this true or false is to search for, not just write it off because of what we think we know. Humans are constantly learning new things. Thanks for the comment.

Our solar system orbits the galaxy every 250 million years, passing thru the galactic plane 2.7 times per orbit, so one oscillation takes 92 million years. The last crossing was 3 million years ago, so the next crossing is due in 89 MILLION years’ time, not a mere 4 years, as this video claims. That’s according to the science evidence.

You claim in this video (at 3:27) that the Earth’s seasons are due to precession of earth’s axis. This is simply, totally wrong. I am a qualified astronomer. What I posted were logical scientific facts, not opinions. I have done more research in astronomy than you have. What you are promoting is astrology, which is not a science but a completely discredited superstition. I am right, you are wrong. I am telling the truth and can back it up, but what you are claiming are pseudoscientific lies.

Iron is a stars biggest enemy, as soon as the star gets hot enough to create iron atoms , it is the end of the star. I find it ironic that the earths magnetic field is made of iron and so creates a magnetic field to protect us from the sun.

@myopicseer Yes, it would spin in opposite diection. Like a wobbeling top as it slows down… only the spin would flip. Now, the crust would not follow just because of sheer mass. It would be greatly effected! Lava, magma all rich in ferris metals would be moved.
Ok, this would suck! But the durration of the flip would determine the extent of change in rotation and speed.
If this event is a short lived event (day or less), the change in rotation would be minimal. Effects devastating.

And if the core were to spin opposite its current direction, would that not result in the crust following that reversal? If not, what scientific principle of physics discounts this possibility?

Where did you get your info on the 2x in 26000 years? I got my info from the Chandra/Harvard team and a video called “Extiction, Dinosaurs, Mammoth, Cromagnon Man…” by Sarastarlight.
And “mythology” is not a good way of describing it. There is a phrase that goes “There is no new technology. Only ideas that are rediscovered. Before writtem language we had symbols and drawings. Like the Rosetta Stone, once written language came along, all of that old info was translated.

we’re in a cycle spiraling arm. That means, like day and night of a day, two staged cycle, we’d pass through the galatic gravitational disk TWICE in a 26000 year cycle. That would put the blackout off of written history into mythology as you state 13k. The cycle passes us through the galatic gravitational disk twice in 26000 years. The black out is as 10500bce and that’s just about 13k years ago.

The inertia of Earth rotating is not going to be stopped quickly, nor is it going to reverse. The magnetosphere is not responsible for our rotation and will not change our direction when flipped.
The creation of the Moon… a Mars sized object slamming into Earth would change, slow, and/or reverse our rotation.
A massive solar ejection (surface ejection) might stop or slow it.

Our Solar System takes 220 million years to orbit Sgr A* (galacti center). We pass the gravitational equator 2 times in that orbit.
The missing piece you need is called coalescence. The distance from Earth to Sgr A* is 26000 light years. 26k yrs ago there was an extiction event. 13k yrs ago there was an extiction event.
It would take 26000 yrs for the parts of this event that follow laws of physics to reach us.

It’s the reason that too many are overlooking the passage of our solar system through the galatic gravitational disk of the universe that they lack in understanding of how fast these changes, poles shifts, happen. Look into the galatic gravitational disk. It’s the gravational force that drives the galaxy. It’s the reason everything will change come 2012 as that is the midpoint of the seven year passage. Twice in about 26000 year world cycle our planet passes through the gravitational disk, because we’re in a spiraling pattern with our solar system. This is why at 10500bce world history has a black out and becomes mythological stories of even older world and distructive epics.

I don’t believe that the pole shift is proof that the end is near. I believe that everything else that is not because of but will coincide with, the pole shift will be our “kick in the nuts”.
Q: What causes a magnet to shift positions?
