It was outfitted with a BlueSky 50A MPPT charge controller for easy solar panel expansion. The battery bank utilizes 8, 220A/hr Concorde brand AGM bateries, and can be expanded. The fully charged battery bank would provide 500W of AC power for about 16 hours after calculating inverter inefficiency @ 10% at a 80% depth of discharge.

I despise WalMart batteries too, they are just our test batteries for 12 or 24VDC systems, but they are full of sunshine.
The system will go to Liberia which has about 4.5-5.5 peak solar hours per day. The system is off grid using 4, 175W MonoCrystalline SolarWorld panels producing about 3.5 kWh per day.

very nice setup good job!!, I was about to saw 2 walmart batteries for that huge inverter, then I saw the battery bank…
what kind of panels,wattage,etc and how long will that battery bank last for their needs
