I found that if you lift the front of the arrow up from the Y to the center of the bands it works much better. I use my hand to center the arrow and hold the grip at the same time.
I made an arrow-shooter using the tubular guide from the end of an old speargun and a surgical tubing slingshot band. No fletching could be used on the arrows due to the size of tube, but it shoots fairly straight. I didn’t think a wristrocket would work as well as it seems to w/out some sort of guide (or EVERYONE would be doing it, right?). I’m gonna’ check this out immediately. Thanks for posting this!

I wouldn’t do that to my Black Widow slingshot, it scratches the handle and the prongs.

i just rest them in the Y between the bars ,i tilt my wrist back so that the sling is more in line with the arrow.its surprisingly accurate .

I never thought that would work so well, but the arrows seem to fly really nicely. Did you have to modify some kind of arrow-rest for the catapult?
