American-Israeli Company Creates Cutting Edge Solar Power Pl

By

California energy company, brightsource Energy and its Israeli subsidary LUZ II, unveiled a solar field in Israel this week that will test new technology the company plans to use during the construction of several massive solar power plants in California next year. The new solar field, with its 60 metre-high tower and some 1641 mirrors, sits on about 12000 square metres of Israel’s southern Negev Desert. While it is capable of generating 1.5 megawatts, it does not produce electricity for public use, but rather test the technologies that will power future plants, which will be about 50 times larger than the one in Israel. brightsource Energy and its Israel subsidary LUZ II are currently at the forefron

Joe Lieberman is scum, a traitor and not to be trusted, has AIPAC written all over him, wants to go to war with Iran. He doesn’t care about the US, he is a zionist with US & Israeli citizenship. His US citizenship should be revoked. Both parties are in AIPAC’S pocket.

8

@bergenstation the roots of zionism is based on socialism. israel only became capitalist later. zionism is simply about israel having the right to exist. i know this as a zionist leader myself

9

they probably use the sun’s power to fire a laser beam on children and burn them alive.go israel!stupid nazi pigs.

10

@danndan6 :Are you drunk? zionism is the ideology of capitalists that will all humans to be their slaves!

11

who is going to install them in CA? i want the job!

12

Hahaha…Cutting edge. A mirror and a freaking boiler.

13

What about we could use this facilities to burn zionists by putting them on the focal point so we would not need to use valuable oil to burn them! hahahahahahaha!

14

sword in the hands of monkey! LOL

15

they tend not to want to progress. they were given thousands of hectres of greenhouses in gaza and decided to use them as cover from smuggling tunnels for bombs and then said that they have no where to grow their food. the palestinians do have maybe just a small responsibility for their own problems

16

why would you want to block sunlight? it is simply making good use out of a land that is not arable. wonderful idea

17

zionism is an ideology that believes israel has the right to exist and jews have the right to self determination. in other words, if you dont want israel completely destroyed and want the jews to have self determination…you are a zionist. and yes, you do need our help because israel has the most startups and innovations per capita in the world. were you not aware that your mobile phone was created by israeli scientists?

18

All of this fear of Muslims

19

Arabs will go this force Wenhui You and your strength

20

This technology has been used for many years ago in US!
WTF! Now americans need zionists to build such plants in US!

21

Oh Great. This looks like American taxpayers supporting “green energy” AND the Zionists. Do you think perhaps that Barbara Boxer had anything to do with this?

How can it change the weather patterns by blocking some of the sunlight out from the desert?

I’ve been out there, there’s huge amounts of nothing.. And anyway, how can this make a desert even worse than it already is by being desert?

24

What kinds of things do you think would change?

20% to 80% is a huge range. I think if you look at the geometry of this you’d likely find it is some 40% on average.

If this were to be an issue, then we should also be looking at the issue of covering our land with roads and buildings… in any big city, I bet 80% of the solar radiation (and water) is blocked from reaching the surface.

I wonder if the people of palestine will get a look in on this.
