you could placed a huge pan, fiil it with water, and put a big stone inside of it, in a specific shape and a specific placement. so it would look like an ‘iceberg’ (body inside, and a small tip above water surface) and then, place the fresnel beam to this tip.

the stone will boil the water, and you can cook. ‘energy-free cooking’

dude, what wuz the crackling sound

All this pollution from oil is completely OPTIONAL just from this source alone!

Only lenses pre 1998 are worth using.

There should be no reason that it won’t work. There is typically two lenses in the tv, a fresnel lens and a diffuser lens, the fresnel has a circular pattern of grooves cut in it like a record, The diffuser usually has vertical or horizontal grooves cut in it and is usually a milky color.

6

I tried pulling a screen from an old projection TV and i couldn’t get the light to focus i am guessing the 3 different lights behind it are in different spots so …yeah that failed!

7

Awesome video!

8

Hey there love your vids, You should try powering the largest sterlin motor you can with one of these lenses. I think u could maybe even power a few =) please please try it also where can i get a lens like that?

grandioso

10

look up solar heaters. you can make them urself!

11

Where did you get the lens?

13

Thanks for the fascinating videos, but I am just a newbe at science looking for practical ways to get off the grid and light-up and heat-up my dark and chilly cabin … can you tell me how to put this solar source to some practical use other than burning up my damaged kitchen ware? I’m running out of pots to burn up!

14

Thank you for enjoying our videos and for taking the time to comment and follow up.

15

thanks for your answer. I have checked out your newer videos’s. Much better! Cool experiments.

16

Camera man had wielding goggles on and hand held a special filter to protect the CCD in the camera from the intense light. Check out our latest videos shot with our Canon XHA1:-) It has manual F stop, shutter and a neutral density filter. Helps a lot. :-) Thank for the comment.

17

gotta say the camera man needs practice…..

18

If you go slowly focusing the fresnel over concrete probably you will melt it; but if you focus the lens on the surface and you move suddenly along the surface probably you will hear concrete cracking like “pop corn”. I have done that before. Congratulations You are doing a wonderful work.

19

To break concrete you need to heat for a few minutes and apply water. If the melting point of you rocks are below 2000f yes.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank You:-)

20

With a fresnell lens it is possible to break concrete almost instantaneously, and to fuse small volcanic rocks.

21

I used to cook hamburgers in five minutes putting the meat between the fresnell and the focus, I recommend You the solar flavor, is delicious.

22

Take away the Ozone & magnetic field no more need for that len,. -†Pawnage†-

wow i find this amazing, the power of the sun.
i was looking at solar ovens, and thought it would be good to have one of those.
just imagine if you could use that energy to heat a tank of water. like the hot water for the house.

Actually “melting” zinc is not dangerous, but you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about “burning” it. Since we are always outside because of the sun, it is only a concern when there is no breeze. Zinc is a lot safer than lead as lead is stored in the tissue vs. being flushed like excessive zinc. Most wielders are warned about wielding galvanized sheets because of the zinc oxide fumes. Lead is not mentioned because there is no reason to wield it. THANK YOU, I will add warning!
