Only our telecommunications will be sacrificed due to solar winds. The polar shift occurs every year if I’m not mistaken. Every Dec. I don’t need to cover my ass because if something akin to an apocalypse does envelop this earth, there is nothing we can do about it but kiss our loved ones goodbye. hey, I know how it works. What bothers me is a scientist making it seem like the sun has a personality and throws tantrums at us. Maybe he’s just trying to connect with common folk (?). -The sun has been tossing off its solar wind for 5 billion or so years. It’s nothing new. And the sun spot cycle has been known for hundreds of years. We are due an active cycle. So why does this jerk make it seem as if the sun has a grudge and has singled us out from trouble?

@mallardhead you need to watch more history channel lol. The Sun constantly fires high-energy particles from its magnetically dominated surface as the solar wind. And as the the poles change our magnetic field gets weaker. But maybe we wont get hit. Who knows.
